Set-up and Sections

The Philosophy Days are set-up in the following preliminary sections:

  • Aesthetics
  • Epistemology and Philosophy of Science
  • Ethics
  • Feminist Philosophy
  • History of Philosophy
  • Logic and Philosophy of Language
  • Metaphysics
  • Phenomenology and Existentialism
  • Philosophy of Law
  • Philosophy of Mind
  • Political Philosophy
  • Value Theory

Each presentation will be 25 minutes, including discussion.

For each section there is also an invited speaker who will speak for 50 minutes. For information about invited speakers, please see the heading Invited Speakers.

Registration, Presentations and Abstracts

Registration

Deadline for registration was June 15, 2017.

Presentations and Abstracts

If you want to give a presentation at The Philosophy Days, please send an abstract of 400 words to abstracts-filosofidagarna2017@filosofi.uu.se. The deadline for abstract submissions is April 15, 2017. Please also specify in the subject line of your e-mail what section your talk belongs to. You can find a list of the sections under Set-up and Sections. Since we anticipate a large amount of submissions, all abstracts will be peer-reviewed and a selection will be made.

Conference Fee
  • The conference fee is 200 SEK
  • The conference dinner fee (dinner on August 26) is 350 SEK
